Meet Elisa: Our Local 'Vampire'
Elisa, a phlebotomist by profession, humorously describes herself as a "vampire," drawing smiles from those who know her well. Born and raised in Galesburg, Illinois, she has nurtured a life centered around family, the great outdoors, and a love for the simple joys of life. Camping with her family, exploring the outdoors, and soaking up every moment with her husband and kids are just a few prime examples how Elisa lives in the moment, and loves the moment she lives in. Her wanderlust has taken her as far as the stunning shores of Hawaii, her favorite travel spot, yet she finds equal pleasure in the magical escapes offered by movies—from the enchanting world of Harry Potter to the thrill of action flicks and the suspense of horror movies.
Family Moments to Cherish
Elisa’s kitchen is a hub of activity and delight, famous among her family for her delicious goulash and pasta dishes. It's her culinary skills that bring everyone together, celebrating the simple pleasure of shared meals.
A treasured memory for Elisa is the joy of discovering she was pregnant with Payten, her youngest, and witnessing the excitement of Emmalyn and Arlo as they anticipated their new sibling. Emmalyn’s interactions with Payten, still in the womb, highlighted the deep connections forming early within this loving family.
Dreams and Personalities
Each of Elisa’s children brings their unique spark to the family dynamic. Emmalyn is vibrant and outgoing, an athlete with dreams of Harvard and becoming a famous YouTuber. Arlo, though shy, shares his sister's athletic passion and aspires to play in the NFL. Payten, the spirited youngest, is a fearless explorer of life, dreaming of following in her grandmother’s footsteps to become a police officer.
Crafts, Goals, and Future Dreams
Elisa’s hobbies include making crafts with her kids, capturing precious family moments through photography, and enjoying sports together. These activities not only strengthen their bonds but also foster a creative and energetic family environment.
Reflecting on her role as both a biological and bonus mom, Elisa treasures the unique journey of motherhood, filled with both challenges and immense rewards. Her favorite quote, “A mother’s arms are more comforting than anyone else’s” by Princess Diana, resonates deeply with her experience.
