As July comes to a close, along with those vibrant sunflower blooms, I’m thrilled to introduce our Clients of the Month: the Hurt family. Justin and Shannon, along with their delightful children Tristan and Katie, embody the spirit of adventure and the warmth of family life.

A Cozy Circle of Love
Shannon, who manages copacking productions for a battery company, and Justin, who works in transportation, find their greatest joy around a fire pit with friends and family. This love for close-knit gatherings echoes their approach to family life—warm, inviting, and full of laughter.
A Journey Through the States
For the Hurts, traveling isn’t just about taking vacations; it’s about fulfilling a family dream to visit all 50 states. They're thrilled to have Tristan and Katie join in on their nationwide adventures, turning each trip into a vibrant chapter of their family story. Whether it's marveling at the Grand Canyon or exploring the busy streets of a bustling city, every destination brings new tales to tell.
Creating Memories Close to Home
Back at home in St. Charles, the Hurts have woven beautiful family traditions into the fabric of their lives. From decorating for Halloween with hand-built props by Justin, an artist of many talents, to enjoying the parade and carolers during the festive season on historic Main Street, each activity is cherished deeply.
But it’s not just about the big events; it’s the everyday moments that shine brightest. Whether it’s pool days that turn into splash pad adventures or watching the kids’ faces light up at the zoo, Shannon and Justin treasure each of their children’s "firsts." A particularly colorful memory involved repainting their deck—with the kids! Armed with poster boards and a rainbow of paint colors, Tristan and Katie ended up painting more than just the wood, leaving vibrant footprints all over and laughter in their wake.
The Little Hurts: Tristan and Katie
Tristan, the family’s budding soccer star, has a laugh that could cure any gloom. His love for dinosaurs and horses is as immense as his collection, which grows each time they step into a store. Meanwhile, Katie, ever the joyful spirit, dances through life with a song in her heart. Her fascination with water and knack for climbing keeps everyone on their toes.
A Journey Shaped by Love
Justin and Shannon’s road to parenthood was paved with challenges, from infertility struggles to a high-risk pregnancy. Yet, their love story—beginning when they were just teenagers—has been a constant source of strength. Their family grew beautifully with Tristan's adoption, and shortly after, Katie's surprise arrival brought new light into their lives.
Grateful Hearts and Open Roads
Looking forward, Shannon and Justin are excited to watch their children grow and discover their passions. Whether it's cheering at soccer games or applauding during school plays, they are there for it all, supporting and celebrating every milestone.
