A Love Story from High School to Forever
Andy and Amber's love story began in the hallways of high school. Their relationship, blossoming in senior year, has been a testament to enduring love. Despite attending separate colleges and navigating a long-distance relationship for three years, their bond only grew stronger, validating what their friends always believed - they were meant to be together. They sealed their love with a fun-filled wedding on April Fool's Day 2017, a date that perfectly captured their sense of humor and love for life.
Amber and Andy: A is for Ambition
Amber's journey as a nurse took her from the cardiac ICU at St. Louis Children’s Hospital to achieving her Master’s in Nursing. She embraced the role of a nurse educator, working alongside her mother and later transitioning to a clinical educator at BJC Home Care, a move that harmoniously aligned with Cora starting kindergarten. Andy's path led him from beer sales to supervising the Home Medical Equipment office at BJC Home Care, making for some amusingly 'awkward' shared meeting moments.
Cora and Henry: The Blessings
Cora, born in 2018, is a perfect blend of strength, wit, and love. Her personality shines as a typical first-born: bossy, a bit of a perfectionist, and destined for greatness. An anecdote that the family cherishes is how, at just over a year old, an elderly couple commended Cora's behavior at a restaurant, humorously remarking, "God doesn’t bless you twice." But life had a sweet surprise in store.
Henry's arrival was nothing short of a miracle - a superhero surprise. His story began with Amber discovering her unexpected pregnancy on Mother's Day 2019, amidst moving houses and recovering from a fall. Henry, having triumphed over remarkable odds, is the family's cuddly, mischievous boy, whose love for his mother and superhero antics fill their lives with laughter and excitement.
Family Life: A Beautiful Chaos
The Meyers family thrives on games, books, movie nights, and especially pizza picnics in the living room. Their camping trips with Amber’s parents (Yaya and Papa) are filled with joy and goofiness. At home, it's not uncommon to find Cora and Henry immersed in imaginative play or hosting impromptu Taylor Swift concerts, with Cora as the star and Henry as her enthusiastic backup dancer.
Capturing Memories
Our journey together began with maternity pictures for Henry. Amber, having stumbled upon our Facebook page, was instantly captivated by the unique style. The family quickly fell in love not just with the photographic artistry but also with the way Ally interacted with their children. From the first session, where Cora was initially shy, to the joyful anticipation for each new photo opportunity, their experiences have been nothing short of magical.
Despite the playful unpredictability of Cora and Henry during sessions, the Meyers always leave with a sense of relief, knowing that the true essence of their family was captured.
"We had no idea that we’d also fall in love with how she works with us, our children, and her AMAZING editing skills to capture our family. From maternity pictures when Cora would hardly look at her, to now both kids are so excited anytime they hear we are going to take pictures. We leave the session every time sure that our kids gave her very little to work with, from being silly or just being stubborn, but every time she works her magic and gets beautiful pictures, but also always sprinkles in a few that show off our kiddos TRUE personalities, which we love!"
