A Meeting Destined by Service
Their journey began in 2006, amidst the camaraderie and challenges of military life at Lackland AFB in San Antonio. It was there that Angela and Derrick's paths crossed, sparking a connection that has grown into a deep, enduring bond. Now, after seven years of marriage, their love continues to be a beacon of strength and support as they navigate the demands of active duty.
A Family Bonded by Love and Laughter
Angela and Derrick are blessed with three daughters: Amelia, Aviana, and Ariela. Each brings her unique light and personality to the Wagner household, creating a tapestry of love that is vibrant and ever-changing. From Amelia's nurturing care to Aviana's bossy yet cuddly nature, and Ariela's feisty, giggly disposition, the Wagner home is filled with laughter, love, and the occasional spirited chase.
Shared Joys and Individual Passions
Together, the Wagners find solace and excitement in binge-watching medical TV shows, a perfect way to unwind and connect after days filled with service and duty. Their individual hobbies—Angela's love for books and audiobooks, and Derrick's cherished nap times—highlight their unique personalities while maintaining a balance within their shared life.
Travel holds a special place in their hearts, with Kenya being a favorite destination, offering them moments of adventure and a break from the routine. Movie nights on Fridays, annual family photos, and special Christmas traditions weave the fabric of their family life, creating memories that are cherished and revisited often.

One of their most treasured memories is the day they brought Ariela home from the hospital. Witnessing the bond between the sisters for the first time was a moment of pure joy and realization of their beautiful, expanding family. It encapsulates the essence of the Wagner family: a unit built on love, strengthened by challenges, and always ready to embrace the joys of life together.
In a community that values service, family, and the joy of simple pleasures, the Wagners stand out as a testament to what it means to live fully. From their favorite local eateries like Texas Roadhouse and La Casa Mexicana to their water adventures at Kinkaid Lake, they embrace every moment with enthusiasm and a spirit of togetherness.
My Time With The Wagners
I first met Angela, Derrick, and their family when they moved to the area back in 2021. I photographed their middle daughter, Avi's, first birthday cake smash along with family portraits that included the grandparents. It wasn't until 2023 that we reconnected for Angela's maternity portraits, with a full newborn session to follow. Not too long after our newborn session together, I was blessed with the honor and opportunity to capture Derrick and Angela's graduation portraits - we saw a lot of each other last year! Their family has had so much to celebrate, and I am so thankful to have been the one to capture those precious moments in time.
